This innovative program opens private land by working with landowners experiencing high wildlife use of their private lands and connecting them with qualified hunters through a reservation system. This program provides new access for hunters, gives landowner the opportunity to have input of wildlife management on their property, and establishes a connection between hunters and landowners that promotes hunter and land conservation ethics while promoting the image of hunters with landowners and landowners with hunters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><br \/>\nA Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills listed below; OR<\/p>\n<p>Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the expected knowledge and skill requirements listed below.<\/p>\n<p>Expected knowledge, skills and experience include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Project management and\/or program administration with an emphasis on natural resources or outdoor recreation<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong coordination, facilitation, team building, and a collaborative approach<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong understanding of outdoor recreation, hunter ethics, and wildlife management.<br \/>\n\u2022 Substantial computer and technology-based understanding, including HTML coding, and map creation<br \/>\n\u2022 Planning, budget management, program evaluation, and report writing<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desirable knowledge, skills, and experience include<\/strong>:<br \/>\n\u2022 Working with federal, state, NGO and private industry partners<br \/>\n\u2022 Working with private landowners on programs that secure hunting access<br \/>\n\u2022 Grant writing and management and\/or general fund raising<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Up to $55,000 Commensurate with Experience + benefits<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Expectations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Recruit landowners to participate in ODFW\u2019s Hunt By Reservation Program<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct site visits on potential enrollee properties to evaluate safety zones, wildlife patterns, and hunter logistics<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate with ODFW field staff on potential enrollee properties<br \/>\n\u2022 Represent Pheasants Forever and ODFW in a professional, safe, and ethical manner<br \/>\n\u2022 Diversify the Hunt By Reservation Program by recruiting landowners providing a variety of pursuit game species, particularly big game, waterfowl, and upland game birds, including wild turkey<br \/>\n\u2022 Respond to marketing and information requests to publicize the Hunt By Reservation Program<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop an outreach strategy to increase awareness of the Hunt By Reservation Program by landowners and hunters<br \/>\n\u2022 Respond to queries by participating hunters<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop rules and recommendations for program participants in coordination with ODFW<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop maps and property-specific information to assist participating hunters with their reservation and hunt<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage and maintain Hunt by Reservation software, including HTML coding and ensuring timely payments to the vendor<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate activities, objectives, and priorities with ODFW (HQ and field staff)<br \/>\n\u2022 Seek, develop, and apply for additional funding sources to support the Hunt By Reservation program<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide two post-season reports (Spring and Fall) per year plus a final report (Summer) addressing the tasks described above.
