We are seeking a candidate who is willing to grow alongside their colleagues and actively contribute to this process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Summary of Position:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">LandWatch is looking for a dynamic Membership and Engagement Manager to execute and manage a comprehensive annual giving program. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has an aptitude for database management, experience coordinating fundraising activities and events, excellent communication skills, and a passion for preserving Central Oregon\u2019s most cherished qualities. The constantly evolving nature of fundraising programs will provide natural opportunities to learn and grow, and the position will require the ability to remain flexible and adaptable in regard to work assignments.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1610580405755_130\" class=\"\"><strong>Compensation:<\/strong>\u00a0$45,000 &#8211; commitment to professional development.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Membership and annual giving (65%):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a critical member of LandWatch\u2019s development team which includes the Executive Director, Operations Director and Communications and Outreach Manager;<\/li>\n<li>Develop an annual\u00a0 plan for recruiting new members, increasing annual giving and membership retention;<\/li>\n<li>Accurately maintain and enhance LandWatch\u2019s donor database and strategically utilize its capabilities to:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\">-Record all donations, member contact information, and perform \u201cmoves management\u201d;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">-Track member engagement with email campaigns, event attendance, advocacy participation and other solicitations;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">-Prepare regular reports from the database for membership and gift activities, recognition and events, and the monthly Dashboard for the Executive Director;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the executive director to develop and execute major gift and planned giving campaigns;<\/li>\n<li>Develop fundraising appeals, campaigns and targeted communications with donors and prospects;<\/li>\n<li>Perform day to day fundraising activities including receiving and logging donations, generating and sending acknowledgment letters, and acting as first point of contact with current and prospective members;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Communications and Outreach (25%):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement a year-round program of fundraising\/friendraising events;<\/li>\n<li>Build relationships to support community engagement and ongoing organizational momentum;<\/li>\n<li>Work with Communications and Outreach Manager to ensure all fundraising communications and assets are consistent with organization-wide strategic communications plans;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure constituent data is consistent across CRM platforms (MailChimp);<\/li>\n<li>Represent LandWatch at strategic tabling opportunities and community events;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement a strategy for engaging volunteers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Other (10%):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Play an important role in the separation of duties by receiving donations and ensuring financial health and integrity of organization;<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in weekly staff meetings, monthly board meetings, and other organization-wide efforts;<\/li>\n<li>Perform duties required of all staff to support internal operations including submitting expense reports, invoice requests, reimbursement requests, and timesheets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nonprofit background strongly preferred, but other relevant experience considered;<\/li>\n<li>Experience with database management, preferably Salesforce and\/or DonorPerfect;<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing and executing fundraising initiatives that support organizational growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be detail oriented;<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office, Adobe Suite and donor management software;<\/li>\n<li>Be well versed in the use of social media for development purposes;<\/li>\n<li>Motivated self-starter who understands the culture of a non-profit organization;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build rapport with donors, volunteers, and the public with diplomacy, discretion, and customer-service orientation, both in person and on the phone;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to thrive and work effectively as part of a small team in a fast-paced and rapidly growing program, with limited instruction;<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Qualities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Committed to LandWatch\u2019s mission;<\/li>\n<li>Motivated by achieving financial goals;<\/li>\n<li>Welcomes and values diversity, and committed to the process of building a more inclusive organization and more equitable Central Oregon;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to graciously give, receive and integrate feedback on a regular basis;<\/li>\n<li>Can take initiative to solve problems, propose new ideas and adapt to challenges;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Oregon\u2019s land use planning system, urban planning, other environmental issues a plus;<\/li>\n<li>Bilingual-bicultural candidates are highly encouraged to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Work Environment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">We offer a flexible workplace environment with a casual dress code.
