Position will be mostly field-based. Work conditions are often strenuous and require traversing steep forested terrain in all weather conditions with a 35-pound backpack electrofisher. Map reading, aerial photo interpretation and orienteering skills will be used on a daily basis.<\/p>\n<p>Positions are based out of Tumwater, WA, but four-day, overnight travel weeks will be required. Company vehicles are provided for travel, and lodging and meal costs are paid while away from the Tumwater operations base.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong>\u00a0The successful applicant will have a degree in the natural sciences or be actively seeking a degree in a related field. The successful applicant must demonstrate an ability to follow strict sampling protocols and be proficient in the collection of scientific data. Map reading skills, accurate interpretation of aerial photography and orienteering skills are required.
