This position will work to resolve complex issues in the regulation, communication, and public health actions recommended during HAB events. These policies must be coordinated across various state, regional, tribal, and county level government agencies.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This position will work in the Climate and Health section in the Office of Environmental Public Health Sciences (OEPHS) in the Environmental Public Health Division at DOH and will report to the Senior Epidemiologist and manager of the Climate and Health Section. This position is expected to work closely with other HABS staff, toxicology staff assigned to HABs, and staff assigned by the Center for Public Affairs. \u00a0The position will conduct outreach with partners across the state, facilitate discussions on various policy topics, and provide policy guidance to senior leadership OEPHS and the agency.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>This is a part-time (50%), non-permanent Management Analyst 4 (MA 4) position. \u00a0This non-permanent appointment is currently funded through June 30, 2021.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position will be predominantly homebased. \u00a0Employee must also occasionally report to the DOH Tumwater, WA campus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Department of Health<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Washington State Department of Health (DOH) works with federal, state, tribal, and local partners to help people in Washington stay healthy and safe.
