OSE is currently recruiting for a temporary communications specialist to support the Fresh Bucks program in a four-month assignment. \u00a0Fresh Bucks is a healthy food access program helping lower income Seattle residents to get more fruits and vegetables.<\/p>\n<p>As the Fresh Bucks Communications Specialist your top 3 Priorities would be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the launch of the Fresh Bucks rebrand, which reflect the programs shift to e-benefits and expansion of the Fresh Bucks retailer network<\/li>\n<li>Managing overall Fresh Bucks communications including press releases and social media<\/li>\n<li>Managing relationships with communications vendors and affiliated partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Job Responsibilities<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><u>To be successful in this role, you are:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Committed to social justice and equity and providing service to those in need<\/li>\n<li>Strategic, pro-active and results driven<\/li>\n<li>Creative, innovative, and collaborative<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>To be effective in this role, you\u00a0<\/u><u>have:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Led a brand re-launch or campaign reaching new and established audiences, including current hands-on experience developing and using a range of communication tools<\/li>\n<li>Track record of developing communications for priority populations including, but not limited to, BIPOC communities, immigrant and refugee communities, and low-income communities<\/li>\n<li>Strong listening, writing and oral communications skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate successfully with a diverse range of audiences<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in strategic communication planning, brand management and project management<\/li>\n<li>Experience with content management systems (WordPress, GovDelivery, Hootsuite) and social media platforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Qualifications<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p>In addition to the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above, this job requires the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong>\u00a0Three years of experience in planning and research related to land use, urban economic, human services, environmental issues, conservation, or other work directly related to City planning and development activities<\/p>\n<p>AND<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong>\u00a0A bachelor\u2019s degree in planning, public administration, marketing, communications, or a related field<\/p>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<p><strong>Equivalency:<\/strong>\u00a0 A combination of experience, training, and education that provides the demonstrated capability to successfully perform this job<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Additional Information<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p>To be considered, complete the online application fully and attach a:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>PDF of your current resume<\/li>\n<li>Cover letter explaining your interest in this work and examples that demonstrate your experience developing communications for BIPOC communities, immigrant and refugee communities or low-income communities<\/li>\n<li>One sample of communications material(s) you developed \u2013 e.g., press releases, branding campaign, digital content \u2013 blog post, web site, social media ad<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Questions?
