Therefore, NSBA\u2019s leadership saw that it was time for an initiative that explicitly focuses on racial inequities in education. Out of this vision was born the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nsba.org\/Advocacy\/Equity\/DIRE\">Dismantling Institutional Racism in Education<\/a>\u00a0(DIRE) initiative.
