The Washington facilities include the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.afsc.noaa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alaska Fisheries Science Center,<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nwfsc.noaa.gov\/\">Northwest Fisheries Science Center<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.afsc.noaa.gov\/nmml\/\">National Marine Mammal Laboratory<\/a>. The program also fosters ties between NOAA and academic scientists at non-government research institutions.<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid vc_custom_1508348507315\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-6\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The NMFS-Sea Grant Fellowships are available to US citizens who are graduate students enrolled in PhD degree programs in academic institutions in the United States and its territories. Only U.S. citizens are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award and Length of Fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The expected annual award per fellow will be up to $63,600 per year (total of federal plus matching funds), jointly funded by NMFS and Sea Grant.
