The\u00a0<strong>Policing-Focused Equity<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Analyst<\/strong>\u00a0will be housed in the Office of Equity and Human Rights while working within Portland Police Bureau&#8217;s (PPB) Equity and Inclusion Office and reporting directly to the PPB\u2019s Equity and Inclusion Program Manager.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the\u00a0<strong>Policing-Focused Equity<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Analyst<\/strong>\u00a0housed in OEHR is to work with PPB\u2019s Equity and Inclusion Office and Strategic Services Division to support the work that PPB\u2019s Equity and Inclusion Office is undertaking regarding the Racial Equity plan implementation and to increase the use of Equitable Data Practices at PPB.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Policing-Focused Equity Analyst<\/strong>\u00a0is responsible for:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Equity reports.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Development and management of an equity data team.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Working with personnel on bureau hiring practices.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Increasing transparency and accountability.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Staying tuned into research and using this knowledge when serving as a project lead and providing technical and analytical assistance to PPB members in the implementation of their equity goals and racial equity plans.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When it comes to transparency, the\u00a0<strong>Policing-Focused Equity<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Analyst<\/strong>\u00a0will contribute to messaging the work of equity by communicating and educating different audiences about vague\/abstract ideas and concepts through a number of creative ways.<\/p>\n<p>An ideal candidate for this position will have experience using qualitative and quantitative data as it relates to equitable and inclusive practices and will also be skilled at communicating and educating different audiences about vague or abstract ideas and concepts through creatively designed visuals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>City of Portland Core Values:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Anti-racism | Communication | Collaboration | Equity | Transparency | Fiscal Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These values guide our actions as we serve the community and engage our workforce.
