This position is based out of <b>Northwest Oregon Area (NWOA), <\/b>with the option of duty station located in <b>Astoria, Forest Grove or Tillamook<\/b>. For specific questions regarding <span class=\"WFW2\">this\u00a0position\u00a0please<\/span> contact Randy Peterson, Recreation Program Manager, at 503-359-7470.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><b><u>What You Will Do<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">You will support the implementation of the State Forest Division planning cycle, to develop short and mid-range operational plans (Annual Operation and Implementation Plans) for recreation projects and infrastructure and other land management activities to ensure that Division goals and objectives are met. You will support and coordinate work flow between other operational units (i.e. timber sales, road development, etc.) to ensure there is alignment around recreation resource planning objectives. For 5 months of the year you will also support facility and campground operations.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">For a complete list of duties and working conditions for this opportunity, <u>please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oregon.gov\/odf\/aboutodf\/Documents\/humanresources\/pd-nrs2-rec-plan-coor-nwoa-2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">click<\/a> here.<\/u><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Because the Department&#8217;s highest priority work is a forest fire emergency, this position may be utilized during those emergencies to provide assistance in a variety of ways.\u00a0 That assistance may be directly aiding the emergency effort in the field or at the Salem headquarters.\u00a0 It also may be in providing backup to fill in for another position that is being used in direct aid to the emergency, or it may be in performing an essential function in some capacity either within this Program or elsewhere in Salem or in the field.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\n<b><u>What We Are Looking For<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two years of experience in outdoor recreation planning, natural resource planning, or outdoor recreation management, which includes assisting with a) development and implementation short and mid-range recreation management plans, b) development of recreation facility maintenance plans, c) grant planning, writing, and grant project administration, d) recreation facility planning, design and development, and e) development of trail system plans, <b>and<\/b> a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in outdoor recreation planning, natural resource planning, or outdoor recreation management, <b>or<\/b> three additional years of related outdoor recreation planning experience which includes assisting with a) development and implementation of short and mid-range recreation management plans, b) development of recreation facility maintenance plans, c) grant planning, writing, and grant project administration, d) recreation facility planning, design and development, and e) development of trail system plans;<\/li>\n<li><b>OR<\/b> one year of experience in outdoor recreation planning, natural resource planning, or outdoor recreation management, which includes assisting with a) development and implementation short and mid-range recreation management plans, b) development of recreation facility maintenance plans, c) grant planning, writing, and grant project administration, d) recreation facility planning, design and development, and e) development of trail system plans, and a Master&#8217;s degree in outdoor recreation management, recreation planning, or social dimensions of natural resource management.<\/li>\n<li><b>In the &#8220;work History&#8221; section on your application, you must clearly describe your experience in the a, b, c, d, and e areas listed above.
