They performs project management, contract administration, energy efficiency assessment and demand response market opportunity identification, program design and delivery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<div id=\"duties\">\n<p>The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is a federal power marketer that sells wholesale electricity from 31 federal dams and one nuclear plant, providing about one-third of the electricity used in the Pacific Northwest. BPA operates three-fourths of the region\u2019s high-voltage transmission grid and manages one of the largest fish and wildlife restoration programs in the world. Altogether, BPA is a $4 billion per year enterprise that recovers its operating costs and capital investments in power and transmission assets through the sale of power and transmission products that are priced to recover all associated costs. BPA\u2019s headquarters is in Portland, Oregon.<\/p>\n<p>The Vice President for Energy Efficiency is a key member of the BPA senior leadership team.\u00a0 They direct EE organizational activities, frame strategic plans based on broad organizational assessments and evaluations of long-term organizational objectives. They determine the financial and personnel resources needed to achieve mission objectives and support mission operations; identify the need for major organizational improvements and develop the requisite plans and directs implementing actions. They oversee and direct the internal organization, staffing, policies, and personnel authorities required to carry out the responsibilities of the organization, including the recruitment of senior managers and technical experts necessary to ensure the success of the programs.<\/p>\n<p>The Vice President for Energy Efficiency provides executive leadership in the planning, development, fiscal oversight and administration of programs, systems, and processes which are functionally critical for Bonneville to manage and oversee BPA\u2019s conservation and resource acquisition responsibilities in the region under the Northwest Power Act, including the pursuit of public power\u2019s share of regional conservation targets as set by the Northwest Power and Conservation Council in the most cost-effective manner possible.
