The Habitat Program is one of three natural resource programs within the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and is dedicated to conserving and restoring ecosystems necessary for the long-term sustainability of fish and wildlife populations in Washington state.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Duties<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong><em>Our Habitat Ecosystem Services Division Manager,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Represents the agency in state and federal habitat management forums and stakeholder groups as designated by the Program Director and\/or Director.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Represents the agency in the Department of Natural Resources Adaptive Management Program\u2019s Timber Fish and Wildlife (TFW) Policy Committee. \u00a0This position ensures coordination with the WDFW\u2019s Forest Practices Board representative in order to ensure agency alignment in the Adaptive Management Program.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Directs Division operational functions in budget, personnel, facilities, staff and external communications, legislative affairs, regulations and contracts.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Leads, organizes, and accounts for the work performed by the Ecosystem Services Division.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Assures appropriate and optimum use of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Setting and schedule:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Work 95% of time at meetings conducting general management and coordination activities or in the office reviewing or creating documents, writing memos, responding to email, answering phone inquiries.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0Work hours may exceed the standard 8am to 5pm workday. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0In the field approximately 5%, occasionally in rough weather conditions, traveling throughout natural resources or related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Or<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Equivalent professional experience may substitute year for year for the education requirement if that experience is in a natural resources or related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>And<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Two years of advanced professional experience in natural resources or closely related field, including demonstrated skills for managing a group that provides statewide services that are central to the department mission and business
