We are a team of hard-working, highly-motivated, engaged, and responsive professionals who support the core infrastructure of Amazon business. We are looking for a customer obsessed, results-oriented candidate to develop and lead supplier sustainability programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, working with multiple internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sustainability and program management background, with hardware supply chain experience. This candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges, with the skill set to drive tactical execution of multiple programs. The ability to self-direct and prioritize effectively to manage multiple simultaneous, constantly evolving programs is a must. Ownership of work is extremely important, and candidates should have a proven record of leading projects to completion and building relationships to drive consensus across multiple teams.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Develop and implement supplier sustainability programs to support AWS\u2019s progress towards Amazon\u2019s net zero carbon goal, collaborating with AWS Sustainability and Hardware Engineering.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Create processes and tools to manage the collection and analysis of sustainability data across the hardware life cycle.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Work with AWS hardware suppliers to collect supplier and site-specific environmental data for key components and materials.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Lead supplier engagement programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the hardware supply chain and track progress towards AWS goals.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Influence suppliers&#8217; manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial for both organizations and reduce carbon intensity throughout the product life cycle.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Measure the impact of existing and future sustainability programs and effectively communicate to key decision makers.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Responsible for program delivery, developing metrics, internal reporting, and managing inputs from multiple teams.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<h2>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS<\/h2>\n<p>\u00b7 Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or other Sustainability-related field<br \/>\n\u00b7 7+ years of experience developing and executing environmental sustainability programs, including at least 4 years focused on hardware supply chains<br \/>\n\u00b7 2+ years of experience obtaining, managing, and analyzing greenhouse gas emissions data, including Scope 3 categories<br \/>\n\u00b7 2+ years of experience leading programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders<br \/>\n\u00b7 2+ years of experience working across both technical and business functions<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<h2>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<\/h2>\n<p>\u00b7 Master\u2019s Degree (MBA\/MS)<br \/>\n\u00b7 Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br \/>\n\u00b7 Experience driving greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects within hardware supply chains<br \/>\n\u00b7 Experience with Life Cycle Assessment modeling<br \/>\n\u00b7 Successful track record leading program development from idea to execution<br \/>\n\u00b7 Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high energy environment where strategic and tactical activities are expected to be driven in parallel<br \/>\n\u00b7 Demonstrated ability to influence with or without formal authority<br \/>\n\u00b7 Experience with data center infrastructure and cloud services<br \/>\nAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
