Field work will involve botanical surveys, pollinator monitoring, and other ecological measurements. Crew Lead will lead a 2-4 person field crew and work with program staff to manage field trip logistics, lead field work, and assist in data management. Position is based in Corvallis, Oregon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>START DATE:<\/strong>\u00a0mid-April (some flexibility)<\/p>\n<p><strong>END DATE:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0late July (some flexibility)<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.S. or M.S. in a relevant field or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Mature, self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable directing a 2-4 person field crew with minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Must have a valid driver&#8217;s license, be willing to travel, and be able to perform strenuous work in all weather conditions<\/li>\n<li>Physical requirements include ability to hike 1-4 miles in rugged terrain carrying a 30-lb load and work in a bent-over\/kneeling\/sitting position for long periods of time<\/li>\n<li>Basic computer skills (MS Word and MS Excel) required; experience in GIS is a plus<\/li>\n<li>2 or more seasons of field research experience, with preference given to those with skills in plant and insect identification and vegetation and\/or pollinator sampling methodology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span class=\"how-apply-header\">HOW TO APPLY<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/appliedeco.org\/get-involved\/jobs\/\">https:\/\/appliedeco.org\/get-involved\/jobs\/<\/a>\u00a0for job postings and application details!
