Technicians will work on a variety of projects throughout the state of Oregon, including rare plant habitat surveys, threatened and endangered species research and monitoring, and invasive species research. Position is based in Corvallis, Oregon, but up to 50% of the work is conducted out-of-town\/overnight (accommodations include hotels and camping). For more information about the types of projects the Conservation Research Program works on, please visit:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/appliedeco.org\/programs\/research\/\">http:\/\/appliedeco.org\/programs\/research\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Start Date:<\/strong>\u00a0The week of April 5th or 12th (some flexibility)<\/p>\n<p><strong>End Date:<\/strong>\u00a0 Positions will last through June 25th with the possibility for extension<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.S. in a relevant field, or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Mature, self-motivated, highly organized, and very comfortable working in and camping with a 2- to 4-person field crew<\/li>\n<li>Must have a valid driver&#8217;s license, be willing to travel, and be able to perform strenuous work in all weather conditions<\/li>\n<li>Physical requirements include ability to hike 5+ miles in rugged terrain carrying a 30-lb load and work in a bent-over\/kneeling\/sitting position for long periods of time<\/li>\n<li>Basic computer skills (MS Word and MS Excel) required<\/li>\n<li>1 or more seasons of field research experience, with preference given to those with skills in vegetation monitoring and inventory protocol and identifying plants of the Pacific Northwest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span class=\"how-apply-header\">HOW TO APPLY<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/appliedeco.org\/get-involved\/jobs\/\">https:\/\/appliedeco.org\/get-involved\/jobs\/<\/a>\u00a0for the job postings and application details!
