Duties Include<\/strong>
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Processing harvest site applications which includes reviewing for completeness, approving, leasing extensions, and entering them into the shellfish database.<\/p>\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Advising shellfish companies on application requirements.<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Preparing expired harvest site reports, providing notification, and removing expired harvest site applications.<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Reporting required harvest site applications to the Tribes.<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Coordinating pollution source review with Growing Area staff to ensure a complete and timely review of new applications.<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Coordinating with the Wet Storage Coordinator and Shellfish Inspectors to ensure all permitted bait, relay, wet storage, and wild seed activities are on approved harvest sites.<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Collecting and tracking biotoxin and Vibrio parahaemolyticus samples.<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Installing, operating, and maintaining environmental sampling equipment, including the Vibrio parahaemolyticus program\u2019s temperature sensors.<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Issuing DOH export certificates in compliance with the export program and receiving country\u2019s requirements.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Option 1: A Bachelor\u2019s degree in public health, environmental health, natural or physical science or allied field; and two (2) years of professional experience in an environmental health, public health, natural science, or physical science program.<\/p>\nOR<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Option 2: \u00a0Four (4) or more years of experience professional experience in an environmental health, public health, natural science, or physical science program.<\/p>\n
And<\/p>\n
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0One (1) or more years of experience conducting environmental monitoring or participating in an environmental health inspection program.<\/p>\n
Desired Qualifications \u00a0<\/strong>
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Three (3) or more years of professional experience in an environmental health, public health, natural science, or physical science program including two (2) or more year of experience conducting environmental monitoring or participating in an environmental health inspection program.
