assists the database manager.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that data entry and quality control procedures are accomplished on schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Performs routine audits of data to ensure data accuracy; corrects errors.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares data summaries, data tables, charts and figures for reports.<\/li>\n<li>Updates the WDFW website that provides weekly updates of fishing success based on creel numbers.<\/li>\n<li>Edits and formats report\u2019s for annual publications for the Agency and DJ Reports.<\/li>\n<li>Provides accurate data to the lead biologist for updating annual forecasting and harvest management models.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in creel surveys by interviewing anglers, collecting biological samples, and daily summaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supervises, schedules, and leads ST-2s in the collection and compilation of creel data.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schedules and assigns tasks on daily, weekly and monthly basis depending on project deadlines and environmental factors.<\/li>\n<li>Assigns equipment, calibrates and maintains assigned field gear, sampling equipment and vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Reports to lead biologist on equipment needs, repairs and reports monthly vehicle mileage and repairs, reviews Total Time reported by field staff<\/li>\n<li>Updates lead biologist weekly on progress and personnel issues<\/li>\n<li>Arranges time for field staff to take online LMS training classes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Maintains assigned rooms at field station<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On a daily basis, directs seasonal field staff to keep office conditions clean and will work with WDFW field station officer manager on making any corrections when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Will implement vehicle parking arrangements and rules assigned by managers at DNR.<\/li>\n<li>Contacts WDFW- ITS for any computer and internet connection problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists the lead biologist as needed<\/li>\n<li>Attends meetings and presents data summaries<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates with Agency, Tribal and other government biologists and the public for data collection or sharing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions<u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><strong>Working sitting, including hazards: \u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The biologist counts and interviews anglers at a variety of popular sport fishing boat launch sites and access areas along the rivers.<\/li>\n<li>Fieldwork is often done in inclement weather.<\/li>\n<li>Contacting anglers requires short hikes to fishing areas or driving to creel locations via state, federal, and county roads, as well as local travel along streams on private (logging) roads throughout the district using a state vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Schedule: \u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work hours are generally 40 hours per week, but extra hours may be needed.<\/li>\n<li>Must work weekends and three weekdays.<\/li>\n<li>Workdays and hours may change due to weather and river conditions.<\/li>\n<li>A flexible hourly and daily work schedule is necessary to perform the assigned tasks. Holidays may be included as potential workdays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Tools and Equipment:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Duties require the use of standard office furniture and equipment (e.g., desk, filing cabinet, computer, printer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>State vehicle, wading shoes or hip boots, rain gear sampling gear, notebooks, and vests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Travel Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Considerable driving is required via state, federal, and county roads, as well as local travel on private (logging) roads.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Customer Interactions: \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>May come in contact with private landowners or public that may have negative opinions of governmental agencies and regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Union &#8211; WAFWP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This position is in the bargaining unit represented by the Washington Association of Fish &amp; Wildlife Professionals and is subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the State of Washington, Department of Fish &amp;
