The CBD will coordinate with the committees which are Development (Communications and Marketing sub committees), Finance, Program (Maintenance sub committee) and Partnering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Major Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong>\u00a0 The CBD will oversee the following;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate within the AWA budget and ensure all insurances are in place and up-to-date<\/li>\n<li>Be present for all BOD monthly meetings,<\/li>\n<li>Hire, train, and supervise a seasonal staff of sailing instructors<\/li>\n<li>Provide end of season evaluations for paid staff<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with AWA committees for promoting and recruiting members<\/li>\n<li>Prepare promotional communications and fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with AWA committee members for volunteer program management as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Year-round Duties:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain positive relationships with the Port, the City of Anacortes, and our partners.\u00a0 Be the spokesperson and the public persona for AWA.<\/li>\n<li>Inform the President of the BOD of issues that might require BOD intervention or advice.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the AWA Marketing &amp; Communication Committees for publicity and promotion.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the AWA volunteer storage manager in management of upland storage boat yard and dinghy dock storage.<\/li>\n<li>Assist AWA volunteers in seeking grant funding for AWA programs.<\/li>\n<li>Make presentations on AWA Programs to interested groups and partners.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the AWA Development Committee for fund raising and boat donations.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate fleet maintenance throughout the year with the Programs and Maintenance Committees.<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as requested and needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>During the Boating Season (March through October):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Recruit and ensure the training of coaches and staff for programs, supervise programs:\n<ul>\n<li>High School Sailing and Racing Team<\/li>\n<li>Learn To Sail (youth &amp; adults)<\/li>\n<li>Advanced &amp; Masters Sailing Program<\/li>\n<li>Shore operations at the Donald C.
