Provide course descriptions as necessary.<\/p>\n Specialized Experience Requirement:<\/strong><\/p>\n GS07:\u00a0<\/strong>Youmust have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service;\u00a0OR<\/strong>\u00a0one full year (18 semester hours) of successfully completed graduate level education if the coursework is directly related to the work of the position, in education or teaching;\u00a0OR<\/b>\u00a0combinations of graduate level education that is directly related to the position and specialized experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.<\/p>\n Specialized experience is defined as the following:\u00a0<\/strong>Participating with training specialists and subject matter experts in the development of Programs of Instruction; providing instruction using required materials and curriculum; providing advice and guidance to students on goal-setting, personal problem areas and educational and career development goals; and maintaining and routing course materials and training records.<\/p>\n Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
