providing guidance and instruction to new students during their orientation period and coordinating vocational exploration.<\/p>\n<p>For contact Information please see &#8220;Additional Information.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<div id=\"duties\">\n<ul class=\"usajobs-list-bullets\">\n<li>Responsible for contacting students who have been accepted to the Job Corps program.<\/li>\n<li>Provides information regarding the various academic and training programs, including general information on graduation requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Provides advice and guidance to students on goal-setting, personal problem areas, progress, changing selection, job placement preparation, positive social skills, educational and career development goals.<\/li>\n<li>Insures that operating procedures and Center directives are met regarding the CPP, including required classroom instruction hours.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates briefings by instructors, counselors, medical and administrative personnel, and other staff at the Center.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in group and individual interviews and observation techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Administers standardized testing based on assessment of individual student needs.<\/li>\n<li>Functions as principal coordinator among Career Technical Training (CTT), academic, and residential-living areas regarding new student activities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains and routes training records in accordance with the CPP plan guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Assists the educational and vocational departments to carry out the total Job Corps program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"usajobs-joa-section__header\">Requirements<\/h2>\n<h3>Conditions of Employment<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"usajobs-list-bullets\">\n<li>Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.<\/li>\n<li>Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.<\/li>\n<li>Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and\/or fingerprint check.<\/li>\n<li>Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served.<\/li>\n<li>Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.<\/li>\n<li>Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
