This is a fully funded position including tuition and a competitive stipend.<\/p>\n<p>Research in the lab focuses on freshwater community ecology, crayfish and other benthic invertebrates, behavioral ecology, invasive species, and disease ecology. The research topic for this position is flexible and will be designed by the graduate student and Dr. Reisinger, but it will be relevant to the research focus of the lab\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/reisingerlab.weebly.com\/\">https:\/\/reisingerlab.weebly.com\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Potential research topics include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The effects of prescribed fire on wetland benthic invertebrate communities<\/li>\n<li>Invasive crayfish behavioral traits and effects on stream ecosystems<\/li>\n<li>Parasite effects on the behavior and success of aquatic invasive species<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates must have prior research experience and be comfortable working as part of a team and working in the field around aquatic environments.<\/p>\n<p>If interested, please contact Dr. Lindsey Reisinger at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:lreisinger1@ufl.edu\">lreisinger1@ufl.edu<\/a>\u00a0and provide a cover letter describing your research experience, interests, and professional goals and a CV that includes your GPA.
