This workshop will explore community liberation through a black joy perspective. In acknowledgement of the grief communities of color hold collectively, both Mahkyra and Dr.Gilmore wish to offer a space that honors black excellence, aesthetics, and spiritual connections to land (&amp;plants). Dr. Gilmore will be presenting and speaking word to his own exploration with Black Boy Joy and a writing portion will be led by Mahkyra on identifying what brings us joy in life. Free house plants will be provided to students who attend.
