{"id":35494,"date":"2020-11-18T13:19:31","date_gmt":"2020-11-18T21:19:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/?p=35494"},"modified":"2020-11-18T13:19:33","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T21:19:33","slug":"job-president-and-ceo-core-creating-open-roads-to-equity-everett-wa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/job-president-and-ceo-core-creating-open-roads-to-equity-everett-wa\/","title":{"rendered":"Job: President and CEO, CORE: Creating Open Roads to Equity (Everett, WA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Position Description<\/strong><\/h3>\n<div>The CEO reports to the board of directors and works closely with the board chair, the board of directors, executive committee, and the department lead team who guide the mission, strategic direction, and policies of United Way of Snohomish County.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The CEO has wide latitude in exercising independent initiative and judgment, subject to the policies and procedures established by the board of directors, and is fully responsible for a committed staff.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide strategic, collaborative leadership focused on implementing and innovating around the 2030 Strategic CORE Roadmap.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen United Way\u2019s presence and reputation in the community as a trusted partner and leader.<\/li>\n<li>Guide strategies to increase financial capital and thus, community investments.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a central focus on long-term family outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Think creatively about ways to educate and engage around complex systems-change work.<\/li>\n<li>Make all decisions and facilitate interactions with an equity mindset.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accountability for the overall operational and fiscal integrity of the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Hold delicate balance of meeting donor needs and prioritizing the needs and generational outcomes of families with young children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Relationship building<\/li>\n<li>Community impact and outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion<\/li>\n<li>Community and family engagement<\/li>\n<li>Business acumen, budget, financial statements<\/li>\n<li>Team building<\/li>\n<li>Strategic planning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trustworthy, authentic, ethical<\/li>\n<li>On an advanced personal journey toward anti-racism, equity, diversity, justice, and inclusion<\/li>\n<li>Connecter and influencer<\/li>\n<li>Transparent and effective communicator<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about community\u2014in particular, issues related to poverty<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership and executive skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to engage in and problem-solve around complex issues<\/li>\n<li>Possesses a healthy sense of humor<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates humility and ability to share power with others<\/li>\n<li>Uniting and steadfast force in turbulent and ambiguous times<\/li>\n<li>Forward-thinking with growth mindset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Bachelor\u2019s degree and 7-10 years of senior level experience managing a nonprofit organization, or executive level corporate or public sector experience with significant volunteer leadership roles.\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits<\/strong><br \/>\nThe hiring range for this position is $130,000 \u2013 $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.\u00a0United Way of Snohomish County provides employees options on an excellent employee benefits package from which they can select benefits that best serve their needs, within United Way\u2019s defined benefit contribution. Choices include medical, dental, vision, long- and short-term disability, group life, and FSA and HSA options.
