The League is in the midst of updating its 2008 study, “Thurston County Water Realities in Relation to Planned Development” and presented forums last year focused on the topic “Where’s the Water”, hearing from experts in the field who talked about the water needs of our cities, rural areas, salmon and orcas, and about stormwater and toxic runoff.\u00a0 This forum will focus on water quality and we’ll hear from local experts from Thurston County.\u00a0 The forums are always very informative and will deepen students’ understanding of the importance and condition of our local water supply \u00a0and the social implications of water use.<\/p>\n
