This project will be building on the work, and success, of the 2019-2020 UCBI intern and will work closely with farm staff, community members, and various\u00a0 community organizations to further develop a dynamic and equitable food distribution model.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The work will include a lot of networking with community organizations and partners that we currently know and wish to deepen engagement with, and working with farm staff to determine best means and model of distribution that works in tandem with and complimentary to our educational programming.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With the amount of uncertainty in how systems will change and shift based on a world that is very quickly changing, a lot of the work of the intern will have to be flexible to meet changing needs of our community and evolving models of distribution and access under a COVID and potentially post-COVID world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Connect various potential produce outlets and community partners<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Research various distribution models of similar farms<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop a distribution plan and schedule in collaboration with farm staff<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work closely with the farm team to develop a dynamic business and distribution plan in accordance with the overall organizational mission and address a\u00a0 constantly evolving world<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The student may have the opportunity to: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">help apply for, track, and maintain records and communications for grant\u00a0 funding or contract purchasing with food access outlets<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Self-motivated<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Schedule: Virtual project work is flexible.
