Compliance Specialist<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0contributes to WDFW\u2019s mission by fostering public confidence through transparency and ensuring that the public has timely access to relevant information.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>This is an opportunity to<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0facilitate agency-wide compliance with the Public Records Act (PRA) while mitigating legal risk and improving compliance efficiency for complex public records requests.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Picture yourself as\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>a senior level subject matter expert on the WDFW public records request processes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The optimal candidate has knowledge of\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>the Public Records Act (42.56), Records Act (RCW 40.14), confidentiality requirements, attorney-client privilege\/work-product, agency policies and the Ethics in Public Service Act.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>We are seeking a candidate with\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>demonstrated skills\u00a0representing WDFW values of professionalism, accountability, empathy, integrity and respect.\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Duties<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong><em>Our<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0Public Records Analyst &amp; Compliance Specialist<\/em><\/strong>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducts and coordinates agency-wide analysis, search and compliance for public records requests.<\/li>\n<li>Receives and interprets public records requests from public and private citizens for the Agency.<\/li>\n<li>Works with the Public Records Officer to design response and appropriate workflow and search for complex or high-risk public records requests.<\/li>\n<li>Consults with affected programs to provide advice and guidance on PRA compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts public records reviews to ensure quality and adequacy of search and records production in response to public records requests.<\/li>\n<li>Provides individual training to Program Records Coordinators on Agency process and systems.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews program-level forms and analysts\u2019 records productions for quality, relevance, and consistency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Setting, including hazards:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Work is generally performed in an office setting &#8211;
