This reduction is roughly the county\u2019s share to keep global temperature increase well below 2.0 degrees C (3.8 degrees F) through the turn of the century.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/facebook.us7.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=267a3775b732a0bcf8295c56e&amp;id=631d8c3ac2&amp;e=9f317f0788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/facebook.us7.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u%3D267a3775b732a0bcf8295c56e%26id%3D631d8c3ac2%26e%3D9f317f0788&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1601403212354000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEVSBYstKbWOiyEscegnWzi8AJ_tA\"><strong>Thurston Climate Mitigation Plan<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<strong>(TCMP) is a collaborative framework for reducing local contributions to climate change<\/strong>. The governments of Thurston County, Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater partnered with the Thurston Regional Planning Council (TRPC) to develop the plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Comments on the draft plan<\/strong>\u00a0can be sent to\u00a0<a class=\"mail-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-enc-email=\"pyvzngr[at]gecp.bet\" data-wpel-link=\"ignore\"><span id=\"eeb-122640-311871\">climate@trpc.org<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0Comments must be received by 5:00 pm, Friday, October 16, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Online Open House<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Open through Thursday, October 15<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will be information about the plan, and a survey as part of the open house to collect public feedback.
