Help Plan Tacoma’s Climate Future<\/h3>\n
Tacoma needs to hear from diverse voices as the City plans for its climate future and Tacoma City Council considers approving a new Climate Justice Plan to be developed over the next year.<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Climate Justice Ambassadors\u00a0<\/strong>will help document community stories, priorities, ideas, worries, needs, and opinions and share them with\u00a0Citizens for a Healthy Bay<\/a>\u00a0– a local non-profit that has partnered with the City of Tacoma and who is supporting this engagement effort. Community input recorded and delivered by the Ambassadors will directly guide actions and priorities in the City of Tacoma’s Climate Justice Plan.<\/p>\n

Engagement Overview<\/h3>\n

With your help, Tacoma can center the voices of frontline communities \u2013 those that are underrepresented, underserved, or made vulnerable, and expected to experience the first and worst consequences of climate change. The Climate Justice Plan will help guide City priorities, policy, and investments that work toward a just and sustainable future.\u00a0We understand and value that people know best how to engage with their own communities, and encourage Ambassadors to engage with their communities in their own way.<\/p>\n

By submitting this application, you may be eligible for up to\u00a0$600 in participation stipends across two program periods.\u00a0<\/strong>All applicants are invited to be Climate Justice Ambassadors upon completing training and engagement activities:<\/p>\n

Period 1:\u00a0September \u2013 December 2020 ($300 stipend)<\/strong><\/p>\n
