Project Description<\/h5>\n

We invite you to join a dedicated and enthusiastic team at the NOAA Office of National Marine Sanctuaries
\n(sanctuaries.noaa.gov<\/a>). We serve as the trustee for a network of underwater parks encompassing more than
\n600,000 square miles of marine and Great Lakes waters. The network includes 13 national marine sanctuaries
\nall across the country \u2013 from just off Cape Cod to American Samoa \u2013 and Papah\u0101naumoku\u0101kea and Rose Atoll
\nmarine national monuments.<\/p>\n

However, we face a challenge: while pretty much everyone knows what a national park is, very few people are
\nfamiliar with national marine sanctuaries. We’re seeking creative individuals to develop and design images,
\nposts, and other social media products that can help people learn about sanctuaries, what they protect, and the
\nscience and recreational opportunities they provide.<\/p>\n

You’ll collaborate with the social media coordinate to produce posts for Facebook, Instagram (including
\nInstagram Stories), Twitter, and Tumblr. Specifically, you’ll be creating posts for our Earth Is Blue campaign
\n(https:\/\/sanctuaries.noaa.gov\/earthisblue<\/a>) and helping us expand that effort, and supporting individual sanctuary
\nsites by collaborating with them to produce up-to-date, compelling content. With your help, we’re looking to
\nhelp our audiences engage with sanctuaries in new and exciting ways \u2013 and we’re hoping you gain a greater
\nknowledge of how social media can support ocean conservation and government initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
