Responsibilities<\/p>\n

As a Fish Biologist, you will perform the following duties:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Process biological samples, such as Alaskan fish otoliths, in the laboratory for the purpose of collection near infrared spectra and age determination.
\n\u2022 Organize and enter data generated from near infrared spectroscopy of otoliths into database and evaluate quality control and quality assurance using statistical techniques.
\n\u2022 Examine biological specimens employing a stereomicroscopy and image analysis software to document structures, patterns, and ages of fish otoliths.
\n\u2022 Contribute findings to research projects in publications and peer-reviewed journals, and participate in seminars and scientific meeting presentations.<\/p>\n
