She is the author or co-author of 19 books about world hunger, living democracy, and the environment, beginning with the three-million copy Diet for a Small Planet in 1971 that the Smithsonian\u2019s National Museum of American History describes as \u201cone of the most influential political tracts of the times.\u201d The fiftieth anniversary edition will be released in 2021.<\/p>\n Frances is the co-founder of three national organizations that explore the roots of hunger, poverty and environmental crises, as well as solutions now emerging worldwide through what she calls Living Democracy.<\/p>\n Join Futurist Hazel Henderson and\u00a0the\u00a0Security and Sustainability Forum<\/a>\u2018s Ed Saltzberg\u00a0in a conversation with Frances about world hunger, expanding the global food system toward low impact food and responsible government and food security lessons from the pandemic.<\/p>\n
