As an<br \/>\nEcological Services office, our dedicated staff work to conserve coastal areas and wetlands;<br \/>\nrestore natural resources injured by hazardous substances; conduct environmental<br \/>\nreviews of federal projects; recover candidate, threatened, and endangered species; review<br \/>\nthe status of species to determine if they should be listed under the Endangered<br \/>\nSpecies Act; and foster conservation and assist voluntary<br \/>\nhabitat conservation and restoration.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about our work here:<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/www.fws.gov\/wafwo\/<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Fish and Wildlife Office is hiring up to eight fish and wildlife biologists in<br \/>\nour three locations to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect and interpret scientific information to develop written documents.<\/li>\n<li>Work cooperatively with federal, tribal, non\u2010governmental organizations and other<br \/>\npartners to achieve conservation goals.<\/li>\n<li>Establish strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Develop proficiency in implementing the Endangered Species Act.<\/li>\n<li>Assess environmental impacts using federal laws like the National Environmental<br \/>\nPolicy Act and the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in inter-agency teams to develop, revise and implement hydro-power licensing<br \/>\nby the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission<\/li>\n<li>Manage and develop Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration cases<\/li>\n<li>Implement spill response planning, training, and technical support<\/li>\n<li>Exhibit strong organizational, critical thinking, and decision making skills as well as verbal<br \/>\nand written communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Work well in a team environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have the skills we are looking for then the WFWO may have a place for you!
