The project is entitled \u201cFloating Treatment Wetlands Reduce Contaminants and Nutrients in Urban Stormwater Runoff\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the research is to test coho pre-spawn (or juvenile coho) mortality from stormwater (untreated) and with stormwater treated with FTWs and a biomedia mix. This incumbent will work under supervision from the Senior Research Scientist to complete the following: become certified through the Office of Animal Welfare (OAW) for this experiment using fish; assist with experimental design and conduct the experiment; assist with determining and collecting materials necessary; carry out fieldwork and collect necessary samples; record and analyze data collected; organize sample testing; ensure that quality standards are met; assist the Senior Research Scientist to achieve project goals.<\/p>\n<p>The experiment with the coho will not take place until spring of 2021.
