| \n \n Invitation – IWRA Webinar on<\/strong><\/p>\n “Water & COVID-19”<\/em><\/p>\n Thursday, April\u00a030th\u00a02020<\/strong><\/p>\n From 3:00 pm\u00a0to 4:30\u00a0pm\u00a0CET<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n IWRA\u2019s next webinar will focus on\u00a0Water and COVID-19.\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0This 90-minute event\u00a0will take place on Thursday, April 30th\u00a0from 15:00 to 16:30 Central European Time.\u00a0 It will provide relevant\u00a0insights on the impact of COVID-19 on\u00a0water supply<\/strong>\u00a0and<\/strong>\u00a0the different ways that\u00a0water governance<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0been challenged by this new global threat today.<\/p>\n While research currently does not indicate\u00a0drinking water supply to infect\u00a0people from\u00a0COVID-19, this\u00a0virus is impacting the water sector and its governance in various\u00a0ways.\u00a0 Presently,\u00a0municipal drinking water systems have been able to filter and disinfect water to prevent transmission to human beings, yet the\u00a0presence of the virus has been detected in the\u00a0water systems.\u00a0 At the same time, the availability of clean fresh water is a key to simple gestures intended, such as hand-washing,\u00a0to prevent the spread of the virus.
