Learn about using Kaleidoscope Pro for automatic identification of bat species based on acoustic recordings. We’ll go through each step of the process for taking a batch of input audio files and analyzing those files for bat content and species ID. Includes technical discussion of how bat auto ID works, how to deal with multiple species, and how to do manual vetting.

Learn to use Cluster Analysis, a feature in Kaleidoscope Pro that extracts audible signals of interest from larger files, and then sorts them by similarity. This is useful for species survey and presence\/absence determination. Participants will play along with example recordings, tuning parameters for best results.<\/p>\n
