Our work ensures state waters can support beneficial uses including recreational and business activities, supplies for clean drinking water, and the protection of fish, shellfish, wildlife, and public health.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Industrial Permit Coordinator\u00a0<\/strong>supports the Water Quality Program&#8217;s Industrial Unit by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the industrial permit issuance process, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Responding to inquiries from permittees.<\/li>\n<li>Scheduling and tracking regional water quality permits and maintaining the tracking database.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing permit applications for technical accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Notifying permit managers when tasks are completed.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing and commenting on draft permit documents to maintain consistency and ease of entry into PARIS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the PARIS (Permit and Report Information System) database contains complete and accurate information.<\/li>\n<li>Managing the permit public notice process and public involvement activities.<\/li>\n<li>Performing informal compliance activities, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Notifying permittees of reports that are not in compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting permittees with compliance questions.<\/li>\n<li>Training permittees to correctly complete their reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Assisting the compliance officer with investigations and\u00a0routine inspections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>As our community responds to the public health emergency, the Department of Ecology&#8217;s priority is to keep our staff, candidates and the public safe.
