The Opportunity:<\/strong>
\nThe Executive Director (ED) serves as the face of the Council, providing leadership and support across the organization, developing and implementing the strategic direction to further the mission, leading staff members and overseeing an annual budget of $500,000 to $1,000,000. The ED provides sound management of the organization’s internal operations (financial functions, staff oversight, and team-building) and external relationships with other agencies and organizations. The ED is charged with ensuring SRWC maintains financial viability and functions as an innovative partner. The ED answers to the Council Board through the Chair and Executive Committee.<\/p>\nEssential Functions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\u2022 Develops operational plans that reflect the goals, objectives and strategic direction of the Council
\n\u2022 Identifies, develops and strengthens relationships with community, partners and funders
\n\u2022 Speaks at events and sits on collaborative committees
\n\u2022 Responsible for fundraising, pursuing sponsorships, cultivating donor relations and grant writing
\n\u2022 Manages budget and ensures grant requirements are met
\n\u2022 Manages contracts that may exceed $1 million and involve multiple contractors over several years
\n\u2022 Develops RFPs for engineering, construction and strategic development projects
\n\u2022 Manages day-to-day operations and fosters a positive work environment
\n\u2022 Supervises and evaluates a professional and dedicated staff of five, ensuring appropriate allocation of staff time and coordination across programs
\n\u2022 Leads and supports the Council\u2019s commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion goals
\n\u2022 Builds partnerships with diverse communities, particularly those who are traditionally underserved
\n\u2022 Supports the Council Board, providing materials for meetings, helping set agendas and assisting with member recruitment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
