Our team consists of creative and experienced individuals that use a collaborative approach working with diverse groups to produce transformative river and stream restoration and freshwater resource management results that will stand the test of time in a changing world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5 ft1\">The Position<\/p>\n<p class=\"p6 ft3\">The Data Analyst coordinates and implements internal initiatives such as organizational knowledge management, internal procedures, internal networks and project coordination. S\/he will also support Washington Water Trust\u2019s conservation goals by developing information tailored to communicate performance metrics and accomplishments for the organization using visual data that may be easily understood by agencies, funders and businesses seeking information about WWT.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft3\">We are seeking an analyst to support our water supply, climate, sustainability, and natural resources analysis and planning work occurring throughout Washington. This individual will interact with a range of clients and stakeholders, including local governments, tribes, foundations and nonprofits. Key aspects of the work may include analyzing water supply conditions, effectiveness of past and proposed projects in the WWT portfolio, overlaying climate change impacts to assess sustainability of projects over time, researching policies and best practices, preparing literature reviews, and distilling complex information into clear, compelling materials for diverse audiences. We are seeking applicants with excellent written and oral communication skills and strong quantitative and creative\u00a0problem-solving\u00a0capabilities as well as an interest in public and stakeholder engagement. Examples of work include the following:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p8 ft3\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">Support analytical tasks, such as water supply forecasting or basin assessments, climate vulnerability assessments, and sustainability metrics tracking and analysis efforts for both water and associated habitats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p9 ft7\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft6\">Conduct research and interviews, analyze information and data, and synthesize findings into clearly written informative summaries, fact sheets, presentations, or reports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p10 ft7\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft6\">Research and track trends, issues, and policies related to water resource management, climate change, mitigation and adaptation, renewable energy, habitat conservation, and other sustainability and conservation topics.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_2\">\n<p class=\"p11 ft3\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">Communicate effectively to diverse audiences from highly technical to the general public, both written and oral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p12 ft3\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">Produce\u00a0<\/span>high-quality\u00a0work products and\u00a0deliverables\u2014such\u00a0as polished written reports, fact sheets, tables, graphs, and other presentation\u00a0pieces\u2014that\u00a0uphold WWT\u2019s \u201cbrand\u201d and reputation for exceptional quality content and appearance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p13 ft7\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft6\">Participate in WWT\u2019s compliance monitoring and compliance duties; analyze, report and track project and program outcome metrics, coordinate with staff to maintain project database.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p14 ft3\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">Support project management, including scoping, budgeting, planning, project monitoring, communicating with clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p15 ft3\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">Support facilitation of\u00a0<\/span>multi-stakeholder\u00a0meetings, workshops, task forces, and committees dedicated to a range of environmental topics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p16 ft7\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft6\">May provide research and policy analysis in support of legislative, corporate and\/or policy priorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p17 ft9\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft8\">Must be willing to travel throughout Washington (primarily eastern Washington).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p18 ft9\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft8\">Other duties as assigned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p19 ft1\">Education and Experience<\/p>\n<p class=\"p17 ft9\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft8\">Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field required; graduate degree a plus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p20 ft9\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft8\">At least 4 years of experience in a natural resource management field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p21 ft1\">Preferred Skills and Attributes<\/p>\n<p class=\"p22 ft2\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Experience researching information from divergent sources and compiling it into a cohesive reporting structure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p23 ft2\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Advanced skills in GIS, Microsoft Excel, familiarity with satellite data, Smart Sheets and Tableau.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p24 ft9\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft8\">Detail orientated with a high degree of accuracy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p25 ft2\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Strong communication skills: written, verbal, presentation skills, professionalism and discretion<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p26 ft2\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Demonstrated understanding of water supply and climate change issues.
