The Center for Natural Lands Management is gearing up for the spring! We’re hiring a number of full-time seasonal technicians to assist with ecological restoration and monitoring in prairie and aquatic habitats on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Positions are based in Olympia, WA and start in April and extend through July or August, perhaps longer depending on funding. There is a single Restoration Technician posting on our website that we’ll use to fill both specialty roles. We’re recruiting to fill these positions with individuals who will focus on either monitoring or restoration.<\/p>\n
Monitoring short description: Field-based vegetation data collection to assess habitat for prairie species and inform ongoing management efficacy. Will also assist with restoration tasks.<\/p>\n
Restoration short description: Maintaining and enhance habitat for prairie and aquatic species through herbicide application, mechanical means, and prescribed fire. May also assist with monitoring tasks.<\/p>\n
