We&#8217;re hiring a number of full-time seasonal technicians to assist with ecological restoration and monitoring in prairie and aquatic habitats on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Positions are based in Olympia, WA and start in April and extend through July or August, perhaps longer depending on funding. There is a single Restoration Technician posting on our website that we&#8217;ll use to fill both specialty roles. We&#8217;re recruiting to fill these positions with individuals who will focus on either monitoring or restoration.<\/p>\n<p>Monitoring short description: Field-based vegetation data collection to assess habitat for prairie species and inform ongoing management efficacy. Will also assist with restoration tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Restoration short description: Maintaining and enhance habitat for prairie and aquatic species through herbicide application, mechanical means, and prescribed fire.
