We believe that the resulting diversity is both a source of program strength and a matter of fundamental human fairness.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft5\">Columbia Legal Services seeks a part\u2010time, temporary\u00a0<span class=\"ft6\">Development Coordinator\u00a0<\/span>for a four\u2010month position. The hours range from 7\u201010 hours per week. This position requires project management, clear communication skills, database management, event coordination and planning. This position reports to the Director of Operations, and works closely with an external Development Consultant and manages one part\u2010time intern.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p8 ft7\">Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p9 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Work collectively with our partners and stakeholders to advance our resource development and outreach strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p10 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Work with Development Consultant and Executive Director to continue major donor and prospect cultivation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p11 ft7\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Coach and supervise the work of a part\u2010time development intern.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p12 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Annual event coordination and planning efforts, including sponsorship efforts and outreach via mail and email, as well as other event coordination and planning strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p13 ft7\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Manage other event efforts, under direction of Development Consultant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p13 ft7\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Partner with CLS staff on grant writing and submission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p14 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Maintain fundraising database, and enter new data, following current practices around new record input, gift tracking and recognition and reporting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p16 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Lead efforts around Give Big fundraising campaign under direction from Development Consultant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p17 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Serve as liaison for Resource and Development Board Committee and lead monthly meetings under guidance from the Executive Director and Development Consultant<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p18 ft13\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft12\">Develop material for mass email communication to constituency, in partnership with communication team and under the guidance of Development Consultant<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p19 ft3\">Qualifications<\/p>\n<p class=\"p20 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">The position requires excellent judgment, demonstrated commitment to racial, social, and economic justice, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to effectively solve problems and work independently, and strong time\u2010management skills.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p21 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Commitment to social justice and sensitivity to people from diverse backgrounds \u2010 all staff members are expected to strive to understand the values, cultures, and concerns of the client communities we serve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p22 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Some experience with or exposure to nonprofit resource development, including annual giving, events management, grant writing, and public relations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p22 ft7\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft10\">Ability to work independently while participating as an effective member of the office team, and to manage multiple deadlines and projects with minimal supervision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p21 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Comfortable with technology and working knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite and Applications (Word, Office365, Excel, Outlook, Windows 7 and 10, Office365, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Experience with fundraising software a plus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p22 ft5\"><span class=\"ft8\">\u2219<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Must handle issues with integrity and confidentiality, be patient and flexible, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet demanding and competing deadlines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p23 ft3\">Compensation<\/p>\n<p class=\"p24 ft5\">This part\u2010time, temporary four\u2010month position is expected to work between 7 \u2010 10 hours per week. We offer relative flexibility with regards to location and hours. Salary is commensurate with years of experience and is expected to range from $20 \u2010 $25 dollars per hour.
