MRF design, construction management, fleet management, routing, procurement\u2026 that kind of thing. The position is based in Indonesia, with flexibility on where the person lives. Bali, Jakarta and Surabaya are obvious choices. The position description is below.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2 ft2\">Waste Management Technical Director<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3 ft2\">Role Description<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4 ft1\">We are seeking a solid waste operations expert steeped in diverse real world experience and ready to take on the challenge of creating sustainable, circular waste management programs in Indonesia. This person will serve as the Waste Management Technical Director for Project STOP, working with our teams in several project sites including Muncar, Pasuruan and Bali \u2013 likely to expand notably in the year to come.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5 ft1\">This role will require someone who is a natural leader, effective problem solver, strong with equipment, safety and logistics, and equally comfortable\u00a0on-the-ground\u00a0and in the boardroom. In return, we offer a unique opportunity to work with international and local experts and lead a\u00a0front-line\u00a0initiative that can deliver breakthrough results for marine plastic prevention, circular waste management, public health and livelihood benefits in Indonesia and the wider region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p6 ft2\">Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Work closely with Chief Delivery Officer and Operations Officer to ensure successful execution of the STOP project in the city partner location during the system transition phase for the city (estimated 2 years)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p8 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Provide strategic thought leadership on municipal waste system design and lead implementation of the designed system, including facilitation of TPST operations and sortation infrastructure<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p9 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Creatively address technical issues for the team as they arise and develop solutions to prevent them from recurring<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p10 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Model waste system variables for system optimization<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p11 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Build a network of technical stakeholder relationships<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p12 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Represent the STOP project to key stakeholders when the Chief Delivery Officer is not available<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p13 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">[In time] Contribute to replication and scaling of STOP Project in other city locations in Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p14 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Build a network of plastic waste buyer\/recycler relationships<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3 ft2\">Qualifications and Requirements<\/p>\n<p class=\"p15 ft1\">SYSTEMIQ is looking for a solid waste professional with a solid record of excellence and achievement. impact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"page_2\">\n<p class=\"p16 ft2\">Specific requirements include:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p17 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Senior level experience (15 years+) in relevant roles in business, NGO and\/or public sector organizations, for example:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p18 ft4\"><span class=\"ft4\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft5\">Designing and operating solid waste, recycling, composting, and\u00a0<\/span>logistics-oriented\u00a0operations, including material collection, processing and sales<\/p>\n<p class=\"p19 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Managing\u00a0<\/span>front-line\u00a0implementation and change management projects in similar contexts<\/p>\n<p class=\"p20 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Leading waste system improvements, value chain improvement projects and\/or sustainability initiatives<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p21 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Experience in and commitment to creating and maintaining a safe operating environment for workers and others<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p14 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Deep knowledge of waste management systems<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p22 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Expertise in \/ passion for equipment specifications, ordering, installation, operation, and maintenance, including trucks, conveyor belts, balers, sortation equipment, loaders, forklifts, weigh bridges<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p23 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Able to effectively manage teams, work collaboratively in a team environment, with an empowering leadership style<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p14 ft1\"><span class=\"ft1\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft3\">Project management expertise, leading teams on both content and process<\/span><\/p>\n<p
