The Discovery Park Environmental Learning Center is recruiting for an enthusiastic and engaging\u00a0Summer Nature Day Camp Environmental Educators\u00a0<\/strong>to join their team this summer.<\/span><\/p>\nFor over forty years, Discovery Park has offered a nature day camp program to the children of the Puget Sound region. Discovery Park is a 560-acre natural area park operated by Seattle Parks and Recreation. It is the largest city park in Seattle and occupies most of the former Fort Lawton site. Situated on Magnolia Bluff overlooking Puget Sound, Discovery Park offers spectacular view of both the Cascade and the Olympic Mountain ranges. The park includes two miles of protected tidal beaches as well as open meadow lands, sea cliffs, forest groves, active sand dunes, thickets, streams, and ponds. We visit the different areas of the park in order to encourage discovery of the outside world and our place within it.
