This position will be based out of our Centralia Washington facility. This is an excellent opportunity for inspiring candidate who are looking for professional challenges and growth.<\/p>\n Background:<\/u><\/p>\n Western Production Forestry is responsible for developing technology that spans the entire life cycle of Douglas-fir from seedlings grown in nurseries to harvest. This role will primarily be focused on nursery and early rotation research with opportunities to contribute to other key projects across the Production Forestry Research portfolio as well as across platforms (i.e., Tree Improvement and Environmental Research) as they arise. The successful candidate will engage in nursery research activities involving seedling quality, seedling survival and growth, and seedling physiology.<\/p>\n Additionally, field research evaluating early stand performance of various stock types and other silviculture treatments will also be a key focal area.
