Allen into impact through catalytic philanthropy, inspirational storytelling, and scientific and technological breakthroughs. We take innovative, unconventional approaches to tackling some of the world\u2019s hardest problems \u2013 from restoring ocean health, to combating climate change, to taking on pandemics, to disrupting the cycle of homelessness.<\/p>\n<p>The Oceans and Ecological Conservation Intern will work within our Oceans Program on project exploration, from landscaping subject areas to identifying Vulcan \u201cways in\u201d to developing initial project designs and concept notes.\u00a0The internship experience will result in a white paper, article or presentation of work summarizing their research and work through the summer. Applicants must be articulate, collaborative, imaginative, and exceptionally data driven.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desired Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current graduate student with a background in ecology, preferably marine but terrestrial ecologists are welcome to apply<\/li>\n<li>Past work experience in conservation particularly in the area of coastal ecosystems a big plus<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide in depth research and write clear and concise analyses<\/li>\n<li>Experience building strong relationships and working effectively across functions in complex environments<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills: written, verbal, presentation skills, professionalism and discretion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong><u>We\u2019re committed to inclusion and equal opportunity.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
