The ideal candidate must speak Spanish fluently, have experience working in diverse classrooms, and the ability to present classroom workshops to elementary students in both Spanish and English languages. The ideal candidate will be familiar with incorporating environmental justice concepts, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into their daily work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p6 ft1\">RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p class=\"p7 ft5\">Environmental Education Programs<\/p>\n<p class=\"p8 ft8\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft7\">Present multiple\u00a0<\/span>one-hour\u00a0classroom workshops, in Spanish and English, in schools throughout King and Snohomish Counties on conservation themed topics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p9 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Communicate promptly and professionally with scheduling and project manager team regarding availability, and with teachers and students when at schools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p10 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Learn content of multiple\u00a0<\/span>conservation-themed\u00a0workshops in preparation for teaching and communicate with project manager to share ideas for script and materials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p11 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Maintain program materials, including making minor repairs as needed or delivering materials to office for larger repairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p12 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Send confirmations to schools in advance of teaching and send brief summaries to project managers after.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p13 ft8\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft7\">Show attention to detail, including tracking scheduling changes, being prepared with all materials needed for the teaching day, and being punctual for teaching.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p14 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Accurately track hours worked in online hours reporting system, and track mileage for reimbursement on time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p15 ft1\">QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<p class=\"p16 ft10\">Required Qualifications<\/p>\n<p class=\"p17 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Minimum of two years\u2019 experience working with youth ages\u00a0<\/span>6-12\u00a0in a classroom setting or through an informal educator setting. Relevant volunteer experience may substitute for work experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p18 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Must be available to work during school hours with possible early travel start time, between 6 AM and 5 PM (and infrequent evenings or weekends as needed).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p19 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Ability to present and converse fluently in Spanish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p20 ft2\"><span class=\"ft6\">\u2022<\/span><span class=\"ft9\">Ability to drive to schools throughout King County.
