The Communications Team plays an essential role in furthering IslandWood\u2019s mission by implementing a targeted press strategy, ensuring a dynamic digital presence, and creating compelling messaging that links core programs to strategic initiatives.<\/p>\n Primary Responsibilities:<\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Design and update various internal documents, including annual reports, program overviews, endowment reports, event sales documents, community event flyers, teacher professional development flyers<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Design graphics for website, social media, email and advertising, with copy and input provided by Communications team<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Design, build, troubleshoot, edit and send all emails on behalf of internal teams; fundraising, graduate program, community events, event sales, and brand<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Project manage external designers with input provided by Communications team<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Manage print production process and external vendors for all printed pieces<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Design and edit IslandWood\u2019s Classy web pages (third party provider of Donate page, event ticketing, etc.)<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Support IslandWood\u2019s commitment to mission, vision, values and goals<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Commitment to support IslandWood\u2019s work towards justice, equity, diversity and inclusion<\/span><\/p>\n Required Qualifications:<\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Two years of graphic design experience and proficiency working in InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Pro<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Two years of project management skills in a complex, fast moving environment<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>One year of experience designing emails in volume<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Print production experience<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>High attention to detail<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>HTML experience not necessary, but preferred<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Highly efficient with a proven capacity to work under pressure and maintain positive working relationships<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Ability to use good judgment, work independently, take initiative, and make recommendations in resolving problems<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Computer proficiency including fluency with the various Microsoft Office applications<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Must pass child safety screening procedure; post offer<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>Must be able to comply with and maintain a\u00a0<\/span>smoke-free\u00a0and\u00a0drug-free\u00a0work environment<\/p>\n Application Requirements:<\/p>\n Please submit a cover letter, resume and two current references\u00a0OR\u00a0<\/span>an\u00a0Application for Employment<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n By email to:<\/p>\n<\/td>\n |
