From working to reduce the severity of fires in our forests and designing our clean water future to developing innovative technologies with fisherman and ranchers that sustainably protect both nature and livelihoods, The Nature Conservancy is building a future where people and nature thrive together.<\/p>\n<p>The Columbia Basin Field Assistant position is a 35 hour per week, 3-month seasonal position that begins in March 23, 2020 and ends on June 11, 2020.\u00a0 The pay for this position is $16.75 per hour.\u00a0 This position requires living in shared housing provided by the Conservancy in Ione.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED and 1 year\u2019s training in science-related field or related experience in land management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience operating various types of equipment in a safe and efficient manner (e.g. lawn mower, ATV, tractor, radios, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience performing physical work.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with common software applications (Word, Excel, Web browsers).<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to obtain related licenses or certifications as required.
