We use this mixed landscape to:<\/p>\n<p><em>Produce food<\/em>. We cultivate 30 acres of mixed vegetable crops using agro-ecological principles and engage in research to inform conservation farming practice.<\/p>\n<p><em>Grow native plants<\/em>. We operate a native plant nursery that produces plants for habitat restoration projects, educational gardens, and urban landscapes, and conducts research on native plant propagation using sustainable growing methods.<\/p>\n<p><em>Connect children to nature.<\/em>\u00a0We offer environmental education programs for children pre-K thru high school to build their comfort in the outdoors and provide them with opportunities to learn about the links between agriculture, conservation, and the environment.<\/p>\n<p><em>Restore and sustain habitat<\/em>. We carry out conservation projects and research to learn how humans can use land to our benefit while protecting biodiversity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Marketing Coordinator will support Oxbow\u2019s Communications team through core marketing functions for organization-wide initiatives and public events, along with individual marketing needs for the Education, Farm, Native Plant Nursery, Conservation, and Member programs. We are seeking a creative thinker with excellent project management skills, a knack for generating clear visuals, graphics, and written communications, and the ability to interpret Oxbow\u2019s messaging from the perspective of our target audiences. This is a position with lots of room for creativity and exploration of new marketing strategies as Oxbow works to increase public engagement opportunities and grow a fledgling Member program. The position requires occasional after-hours and weekend work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with the Communications Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the following key functions:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Marketing &amp; Communications \u2013 50%<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support regular email marketing efforts, including email design and content creation in MailChimp, and assist with email list management<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to social media marketing efforts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and help create and implement a social media strategy<\/li>\n<li>Utilize data tracking and analytics tools to assess performance of email and social media ad campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Stay up-to-date on marketing trends and make recommendations for new marketing partners, tools, and techniques<\/li>\n<li>Build and implement marketing strategies for each of Oxbow\u2019s key program areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Production and Design \u2013 40%<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and produce digital and print assets such as web ads, branded social media posts, brochures, flyers, postcards, and other internal and external materials<\/li>\n<li>Manage production calendar for print\/digital ads and liaise with ad vendors as needed<\/li>\n<li>Maintain consistency in brand and messaging for internal and external communications and assist with improving and implementing the master style guide<\/li>\n<li>Help create and maintain material production timelines for multiple program areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Development \u2013 10%<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help support donor database management and processing of routine donor communications, including transactional\/acknowledgment emails and mailings<\/li>\n<li>Help generate and implement fundraising campaign media and materials<\/li>\n<li>Assist with occasional weekend\/after-hours special events and fundraising initiatives as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>General<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that all communications and marketing objectives, strategies, and messages are aligned with and supportive of Oxbow\u2019s mission and strategic plan<\/li>\n<li>Work cross-functionally with program teams to ensure efficient and effective communication and operations<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the Communications Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent professional experience in the fields of marketing, graphic design, or communications.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in a similar role, preferably for a nonprofit or mission-based organization<\/li>\n<li>3 years\u2019 experience with Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated proficiency and comfort using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written skills with proficiency using a clear, inclusive, and engaging tone<\/li>\n<li>Ability to distill complex ideas into accessible written and visual products<\/li>\n<li>Proficient copywriting, editing, and proofing skills<\/li>\n<li>An eye for graphic design and visual storytelling<\/li>\n<li>Experience with mobile-optimized web and email design using tools such as WordPress, MailChimp, or similar systems<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of printing processes and the ability to see projects from concept to completion<\/li>\n<li>Experience using CRM tools<\/li>\n<li>Able to work both collaboratively and independently<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable receiving constructive feedback<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented, with experience using organizational tools to stay on-task<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in an open office environment<\/li>\n<li>Photography and\/or videography experience is a big plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>COMPENSATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a regular, full-time position, paying a salary of $43,000-$48,000 DOE with 100% employer paid healthcare, annual dental stipend, generous holiday, vacation, and sick leave.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"clearfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"job-frame-how-apply\"><span class=\"how-apply-header\">HOW TO APPLY<\/span><strong>TO APPLY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please read carefully, incomplete applications will not be considered.
