Take Action for the Environment!<\/b><\/span> comprehensive, nine-month training in sustainable food production and natural resource conservation for Seattle and King County residents. Apply what you learn in your own community through hands-on projects like building garden beds, installing rain gardens and creating habitat for wildlife and pollinators.<\/span>

\nSoil and Water Stewards meet one weekend per month, February-October, to learn about a comprehensive range of hands-on topics, from soil-building and organic gardening to managing storm water. They then apply their new skills by partnering with local organizations in the Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle, and throughout King County.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\nParticipants can be students, parents, teachers, professionals, community leaders and anyone else passionate about food, the environment and the health of our communities. A limited number of stipends are available to help offset the cost of transportation to training and project locations.<\/span>
