Event Agenda:

10:00 am – 2:00 pm: On-campus Event – The Evergreen State College, Purce Hall

  • Keynote address from MES Directors.
    • Limited Livestream Webinar will be offered for the Keynote address from the Directors. Due to limited capacity, there will be no other remote participation available. Please register using the link below, so that we can provide you the link for the webinar livestream.
  • Workshops, panel discussions, and seminars on the theme, facilitated by alumni and students – a finalized list of session topics and hosts will be announced in late March! 
  • Free to attend – registration required for all members of your party.

2:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Olympia Arts Walk & Procession of the Species in Downtown Olympia

  • Time to enjoy Arts Walk and Procession of the Species parade with special highlights of MES student and alumni displays.
  • Free to attend – no registration required

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Reception Event – Lord Mansion and Coach House

  • A community space to continue the celebration from the day.
  • Registration will involve a fee – $40 for alumni and guests / $10 for current students. Space is limited to 150 persons capacity for the Reception and registration is on first-come-first-served basis. There are limited student tickets. Students should receive an email from Averi with the Passcode to register for a reduced fee. 

 

MES 40th Anniversary Celebration Event

Register for the MES 40th Anniversary Celebration Event

Thank you for your interest in attending the MES 40th Anniversary Celebration Event at The Evergreen State College! Use this form to register to attend. The daytime celebration will be free for all to attend at Evergreen and will include a series of celebration talks as well as workshop sessions hosted by students and alumni on the theme of “Stories of Adaptation: How has MES and environmental work changed over the last 40 years?” We will not require registrations for separate sessions so you can decide which to attend on the day-of the event. We will need to know if you and any guests are coming to monitor venue capacity and food requests and would like to encourage all attendees to complete the following form above to register for this event.

Register for the MES 40th Anniversary Reception

Thank you for your interest in attending the MES 40th Anniversary Reception! We have limited tickets available for purchase for the reception due to the size of our venue (30 Student and 100 Alumni/Guest tickets) and encourage folks to purchase as soon as possible. Ticket availability is on a first-come-first-served basis. Folks who need to cancel their tickets after purchase may do so up to 1 week before the event and waitlisted registrants will be contacted as soon as an available ticket opens up. 

  • Alumni and Guest tickets are $40 each plus tax. An alumni or guest may purchase a ticket for themselves and up to 1 guest.
  • Student tickets are $10 each plus tax. Students should register through the Student Registration and enter the passcode located in a “Student Password” email from Averi from February 7, 2025 or email Averi at averi.a.azar@evergreen.edu with your request for the code to register with a discounted rate.
