Hello! My name is Xitlali Herrera and I am a soon to be graduate (class of 2025) of the MES program. I was raised in Granger, WA during my K-12 years. I received my AA at Yakima Valley College and my BA in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at Washington State University. I served two years with Washington Conservation Corps and decided to go back to school to pursue my Masters in Environmental Studies at Evergreen with particular interests in GIS, environmental planning, and environmental justice. I still carry those interests today and am looking forward to connecting everyone about where their MES degree has taken them! I currently work for the Sustainability in Prisons Project, helping conserve the endangered Taylors checkerspot butterfly as a Butterfly Coordinator for the program.
