But what do we lose?<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.evergreen.edu\/mmmzev\/files\/2014\/11\/worn.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-56\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.evergreen.edu\/mmmzev\/files\/2014\/11\/worn-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Frayed and torn old jeans\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And is there anything more beautiful than a sweater? You wash it once a season. It collects smells.\u00a0It gains holes and loses buttons and the\u00a0cuffs stretch out, but it is never really trash. This is so unlike three-D printed objects for obvious reasons I need not even recite.<\/p>\n<p>So are we going about our projects wrong? Should we take Katie Hatam&#8217;s lead and make items that involve true craftsmanship, and use three-D printed objects only for the parts that could never otherwise come to fruition?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s the point.
